EGANS LANE MEETING PLACE IS NOW JELLY BEAN PARK

This exciting project has seen the creation of a new park and colourful meeting hub for the entire community.

The design of the new community facility has incorporated bright colours, lighting and mosaic patterns in keeping with the Nowra Alive themes of fun and play.

It is anticipated that Egans Lane will become a modern and attractive meeting place for families and local residents in the centre of the CBD.

In further exciting news for the local community, Council has received an $80,000 grant funding through the Office of Environmental Heritage for the construction of an innovative water play area in this area.

The evaporative cooling solution will see the implementation of a vapour play area, water bottle filling station, shade and seating in Stage 2 of Egans Lane Park.

The revitalisation of Egans Lane follows on from the completion of regeneration works in Berry Street.

Both projects represent major milestones in the Nowra Alive project.
